Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote has failed his medical at Galatasaray according to AmkSpor, NtvSpor and Milliyet.
The 30-year old arrived Istanbul last night, and was welcome by many fans, to complete his £1.2m move to Galatasaray, but today’s medical results are not encouraging for both parties.
It’s understood that Tiote’s left leg is weaker than his right leg and he has a major problem on his left lateral meniscus.
Now Galatasaray want a detailed report about Tiote from their medical team. The Turkish club also want to know how many weeks Tiote needs to recover from these problems.
After all these reports are compiled, the club will give the answer to the Ivorian who is now waiting in Istanbul to solve his future.
