Ibrahim Sangaré is still in the process of becoming a Nottingham Forest player, according to claims from the Netherlands.

Multiple clubs had been interested in the PSV player this summer, but it’s the Premier League side who finally clinched the agreement.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been a huge part of PSV’s plans for the past three years following his transfer from Toulouse for €7m back in 2020.

He had a release clause of €37.5m in his contract with the Eredivisie side, which Nottingham Forest seem to have ended up taking advantage of.

It was reported earlier that flights had been booked and Sangaré would be travelling to England to complete all the paperwork, have his medical, and seal the move to Nottingham Forest.

Rik Elfrink, the most prominent journalist when it comes to PSV matters, now reports the all the paperwork has been sorted, so there’s no issue there.

However, he adds the ‘medical examination is still ongoing’, but there doesn’t appear to be any panic, although there’s a ‘rush’ to complete the deal.
