According to claim in the Italian media, Torino are looking to sign Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra in this transfer window.
The Argentine could leave the Premier League side this summer and a return to Serie A would be the likeliest option.
Tuttosport today report former Watford manager Walter Mazzarri is keen to bring in Pereyra and that the central midfielder is the first choice target for the Torino coach. Mazzarri knows the player well from his time at Vicarage Road and was the manager who signed him from Juventus in 2016.
Despite being a regular at Watford last season, Tuttosport believe the Premier League side could look to cash in on Pereyra in this transfer window and they will be looking for an offer in the region of €20m from Torino.
Contacts are said to be ‘alive’ between the two clubs.
Despite the English transfer deadline being tomorrow evening the Serie A side will still be able to sign Pereyra after this as the Italian window only closes at the end of the month.
