Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven has admitted he’s “read everything” when it comes to rumours of Liverpool’s interest in him.
The defender has been speaking to ESPN in the Netherlands regarding his own future, which has come into focus this season amid apparent interest from Liverpool.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the defender thanks to their new association with Jorge Schmadtke.
He’s working at Anfield for the next three months during the summer transfer window as the club look to reshape their squad following a difficult campaign.
The belief is that he could put a particular focus on the German market and that led to claims he may go to his former club for negotiations for Van de Ven, who is one of their prized assets.
That’s led to numerous reports about an impending move from Liverpool for the 22-year-old, something he appears to be more than aware of.
“I’m very comfortable at Wolfsburg, so I don’t mind staying at Wolfsburg for another year. But if I get a chance to leave, I would like to,” he said.
“Of course, I read everything myself. I have good contact with my agent, so I know what it’s like. I’ll see where it will lead. Premier League? Maybe, yes. Who knows.”
