Back in September, when PSG travelled to Celtic Park for their Champions League match and beat the home side 5-0, Brendan Rodgers’ men didn’t exactly impress the French media.
L’Equipe gave out a series of pretty bad ratings.
The lowest rating was a 2, but Scott Sinclair and Patrick Roberts managed to escape with 4s. Rodgers himself only managed to be judged at 3/10 for the way he’d set his team up for the encounter.
Perhaps the most cutting aspect for Celtic was that even though PSG won 5-0 away from home in the Champions League, L’Equipe only deemed one of the team worthy of getting an 8.

Given all of that it was always going to be interesting to see how L’Equipe rated Celtic after their 7-1 loss in Paris on Wednesday evening, and it’s even worse.
Giving a player a 1 is pretty rare from the French newspaper, but that’s what is handed out to Dedryck Boyata, with the 26 year old having an absolute shocker.
This time not one Celtic player managed to convince L’Equipe they deserved more than a 3. Of the Celtic starting eleven, with quickly injured Lustig excused from grading, 6 were 2 or below.
It wasn’t much prettier when Celtic travelled away to Bayern Munich, and were hammered as ‘Deficient’ and ‘insufficient’ by German newspaper Bild.
