Earlier today we covered a report from ABC Sevilla which explained Jules Kounde isn’t in Sevilla’s squad to face Elche today because he didn’t want to travel.

The defender is putting pressure on his club to agree a deal with Chelsea, however, Sevilla don’t feel they should accept the €50m which has been offered.

Over at Diario de Sevilla, they have their own take. It’s explained Kounde decided he’d travel to Paris early, and wait there for news on his transfer to transfer to Chelsea.

Included in Didier Deschamps’ squad for the upcoming international break, the 22-year-old thought it would be best to leave Spain early, and in turn help the pressure on Sevilla increase.

Diario de Sevilla appear confident a solution will be found, saying it looks like the player’s switch to Stamford Bridge is just a ‘matter of time’.

Despite that, it’s also made clear there’s been no progress in talks with the Premier League club after a €50m offer was rejected.

Kounde has a release clause standing at €90m, and Sevilla are looking for something around €70m, so there’s still a big gap between the two clubs.
