Earlier on Monday, Sky Sports reported Matěj Vydra to Leeds United had collapsed due to personal terms.

According to the claims, the Derby County striker hadn’t been too enthralled about joining a club who finished below them in the Championship last season, and then wasn’t convinced with the personal terms on offer at Elland Road either.

Over in Modena, they’re still covering the Jerry Mbakogu to Leeds United possibilities.

Carpi’s local newspaper, Gazzetta di Modena, has been repeatedly told a new verbal agreement was reached, which Leeds United needed to activate by the end of July.

This seems to have been Leeds’ way of kicking the situation into the long grass.

In Monday’s edition of the newspaper it’s stated the Leeds move is now ‘blurred’.

They don’t now think the transfer has a reasonable chance of happening unless something occurs on Tuesday, which is the final day of the month.

Once the 31st has been and gone, Mbakogu and Carpi will sit around a table decide what the future holds.
