Leeds United have a medical planned in the next 48 hours for Hoffenheim forward Georginio Rutter after striking an agreement with the German club.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says the last talks and paperwork will be dealt with tonight.
Leeds have been linked with the forward over the last week as Jesse Marsch continues to add to Leeds squad following the signing of defender Maximilian Wöber.
It appears those talks have now progressed quickly, with Plettenburg reporting that the deal is ‘close to being finalised’ between the two clubs.
According to his information, they have agreed on a transfer package worth €30-40m and a medical is planned in the ‘next 48 hours’ once the final details have been arranged.
What those are isn’t mentioned but it is likely to be in regard to the payment of those figures, with it unlikely Leeds are paying €30m or €40m upfront.
Either way, Plettenburg states confidently that Hoffenheim ‘will release’ the forward and Leeds are on the verge of a ‘massive transfer’.
