German has some great words, sometimes others plonked together, one of them is Mentalitätsmonster. That literally means ‘mentality monster’ and is used, in football terms at least, to describe someone who is very mentally strong and has the best attitude.

Marvin Bakalorz is described as this by Germany’s Fussball Transfers, who say, in an exclusive, that the 29 year old midfielder has several offers to continue his career.

He’s a free agent, after his deal with Hannover 96 expired, and is attracting interest from SC Freiburg, FC Augsburg and Norwich City.

Hannover would be happy to extend, and no decision has been made yet.

Premier League new boys Norwich ‘would like to’ sign him on a free transfer, according to the claims.

In theory, the Canaries could offer much better terms than the other clubs mentioned, but it would certainly be something of a gamble for him to move out of Germany for the first time, considering he turns 30 in September.
