Leeds United are ‘interested’ in signing Fenerbahçe’s Mërgim Berisha in the summer transfer window.
This updated is provided by A Spor journalist Ahmet Selim Kul and relayed by the outlet’s editor, Yusuf Başyeşil. The former has shared Başyeşil’s tweet from his Twitter page.
The forward joined the Turkish club from Red Bull Salzburg and during his time in Austria, he played under the orders of the current Leeds United manager, Jesse Marsch.
It is pointed out Berisha was in the ‘best form of his career’ under the German’s guidance at Red Bull Salzburg. He scored 22 goals and registered 14 assists in all competitions during the 2020/21 season and his fine displays helped him get a move to Fenerbahçe.
According to Ahmet Selim Kul, the Whites manager ‘wants’ his former player at Leeds this summer.
Ahmet Selim Kul: Leeds United, Mergim Berisha ile ilgileniyor. Teknik direktör Jesse Marsch, eski oyuncusunu takımda görmek istiyor. @ahmetselimkul
Berisha, Jesse Marsch ile birlikte kariyerinin en formda dönemini geçirmişti.

Berisha has three years left on his current deal and the tweet didn’t provide any update on whether Fenerbahçe and/or Berisha are ready to do business with Leeds United.
One to keep an eye on.
