Sitting 15th in the table with just four wins from 12 this season, it’s fair to say that not all is rosy at Everton.

While the situation is not as bad as it is for some clubs, the expectation was that they would be doing much better than they currently are.

Much of the blame has been placed at Marco Silva’s door, with the Portuguese boss facing plenty of criticism from the Everton faithful in recent weeks.

Despite that, there has been no suggestion from Everton that they are looking to make a change, with Silva still retaining the faith of majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri at this moment in time.

Silva too is determined not to give up on his chance with Everton just yet either and has been in defiant mood when questioned about his future.

That defiant mood is one shared by his agent Vasco Casquilho, who, when asked about Silva and fellow boss André Villas-Boas, was insistent his client is happy on Merseyside.

“André is happy in Marseille and is doing well, his present and his future are the OM,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.

“This also applies to Silva at Everton. He had a difficult time, last week he had a great result by winning out, and I am sure they will rise up the table soon.

“The Premier is never easy, it is competitive, we knew it would be tough, some results could have been different, but now they will take the right step to climb the table.”
