Hull City have probably been the Premier League club most linked with transfers on deadline day. Marco Silva has seen several of his squad and team leave the club during the current transfer window, and he’s had to put some work in to try and replace them.

Silva has been looking at loans, which would suit Hull City’s apparent spending plans very well, but it can of course make the pool of players available rather limited.

One of Silva’s main reported targets for deadline day has been Yann M’Vila. The French midfielder has Premier League experience, from his time with Sunderland, and very nearly ended up in English football again this season.

However, he won’t be joining Hull City, as France’s Foot Mercato report M’Vila is remaining in Russia, at least for the time being. It will be more disappointment after M’Vila was so upset to miss out on a Premier League move in the summer.
