On Sunday, Portuguese newspaper A Bola brought a story saying Everton are interested in the Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Covering it, we explained the claims are hopping between England and Portugal and likely getting a bit too hyped.

The outlet claimed that the Toffees are ‘willing to open the purse strings’ and make a ‘proposal’ to sign the 24-year-old in January.

Now A Bola comes with a new story on Monday, this time about Bruno Fernandes’ return from injury, and giving big emphasis to Everton interest.

They say that with the player’s return to the team, English clubs will be turning their attention to Sporting’s midfield, especially Everton, since Marco Silva is keeping an eye on the player.

A Bola warns that whoever wants to sign Fernandes will have to spend big, since Sporting have no intention of letting him go, and he’s currently protected by a €100m release clause.

In Sunday’s report, they claimed that Fernandes is not leaving for less than €40m, although ‘money is not a problem’ for Premier League clubs.
