According to a claim in the Turkish media Everton manager Marco Silva has blocked Oumar Niasse’s proposed move to Galatasaray.

The Senegal international has been linked with the Turkish champions in recent weeks.

Milliyet have reported on the latest update with regards to Galatasaray’s purist of the Everton player and it seems he will be remaining at Goodison Park. The Super Lig club are keen to bring in a forward before the transfer deadline on Friday following the departure of Bafétimbi Gomis.

However, it seems the Istanbul club may have to look at other options after Silva told the Everton hierarchy Niasse is in his plans for this season.

According to Milliyet, even if a good proposal comes in for the attacker than this will be rejected by the Merseyside club as they will not be able to bring in a replacement.

This could come as a blow to Niasse who’s had just 13 minutes of football this season and was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last Saturday.
