Argentina are still without a manager.

Following a disappointing World Cup, during which Jorge Sampaoli was thrown to the lions, the country are again on the look out for someone to be their new manager and, more or less, get the most out of Lionel Messi.

Marcelo Bielsa has long been linked, he’s done the job before and had some success with an arguably less talented bunch of players.

Whenever there’s a list drawn up of possibles in the Argentine press, the Leeds United boss is usually on it.

That’s the case with La Nacion and their Friday edition as several options are looked at. Bielsa gets a section and whereas once it was a question of whether Argentina really wanted him, now it’s more that they’d not be able to get him even if they did.

La Nacion say there’s ‘nothing’ on the Bielsa track as he’s wrapped up in a new English experience.

Had it been going terribly then things may have been different, but Leeds United are flying high and even the Argentina job isn’t thought to be enough of a temptation to move.

The search has become so difficult that La Nacion even push Javier Mascherano forward as an option.
