The Spanish media have been reporting for over a week now that Fernando Llorente to Swansea City is very real indeed.
At first, it was largely ignored or brushed off, but it’s become increasingly clear that the Spanish media have been right.
Marca wrap things up on Friday, with the Spanish newspaper saying Llorente travelled to Wales on Thursday, and will today sign his contract with Swansea City.
The 31 year old is signing a contract for a period of two seasons, with the option of a third. Marca don’t say who has the power to enforce the option, whether it be player or club.
Marca say the transfer was at first snubbed, but things have changed and all parties are in agreement for a deal to be done. The medical is pencilled in, and if that goes swimmingly then the deal should be wrapped up today.
