Pogba 54

The position of Spanish newspaper Marca on Paul Pogba has stayed pretty much consistent throughout the whole saga. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of the midfielder, but Madrid as a club don’t think he’s worth the money being mentioned, and president Florentino Perez isn’t quite the fan Zidane is.

There’s also the money, in their Thursday edition, Marca save their Pogba article until page 6, which shows it’s not of huge importance today. Zidane’s comments about not ruling anything out may well have been pushed more strongly, but now there’s a clarification that nothing is happening as it stands.

Marca reiterate that it seems Pogba is off to Manchester United, due to a combination of factors, mostly being that the club really want him and are prepared to pay the money the Juventus want.

Or at least it seems they are, because until Manchester United actually finalise the transfer it’s possible anything could happen, which is what is causing doubts.

Marca don’t add to those doubts in their Thursday newspaper.
