Manchester United Women are keen on Julia Grosso, according to claims coming from Italy.

Tutto Juve explain that Juventus are keen to get Grosso secured to a new contract. They’ve already managed to negotiate a renewal for Cristiana Girelli, and Grosso is next on their list.

However, there’s a problem… and that’s interest from other clubs.

According to the report, which is presented as exclusive information, both Manchester United and Real Madrid are keen on the 23-year-old midfielder.

In 2022, Juventus announced they’d extended Grosso’s contract until 2024, which would mean that without a further renewal she’d be available as a free agent this year.

That situation will almost certainly encourage interest from elsewhere, with the opportunity to get the Canada international on a free being an attractive one.

Juventus are said to remain confident and have offered Grosso a two year contract extension which comes with a salary increase. She’s yet to communicate her decision and the ball is very much in the player’s court right now.

There could also be interest from other clubs, with Tutto Juve specifying that Manchester United and Real Madrid are simply the ‘most interested’ sides.
