Manchester United are in the picture to sign Red Bull Salzburg’s Maurits Kjærgaard in the next window, according to Salzburger Nachrichten.
The Austrian champions are known for their philosophy to raise funds through selling some of their players every year.
They have already wrapped up two deals and have plans to bring in more millions by selling a few more players in the summer.
Kjærgaard’s name is included in the list as he’s attracting interest from some Premier League sides, but Manchester United are the only team to get a mention.
It’s claimed the Red Devils ‘could win the race’ to sign the 19-year-old, who is valued at around €15m by Red Bull Salzburg.
Operating mainly in the middle of the pitch and at times as an attacking midfielder, the Denmark U21 international has scored two goals and registered nine assists from 32 matches in all competitions this season.
Last September, TV2 Sport in Denmark reported Manchester United were among the many clubs to have sent their scouts to watch Denmark U21’s win European qualifiers tie against Croatia U21 and the teenager was in action for his country in that clash.
