Manchester United have reportedly scouted the Benfica starlet João Félix in the Eagles’ league game against Chaves last night.

Although newspapers such as Record and A Bola both report the Red Devils’ visit to the Estádio da Luz, it’s O Jogo who says the emissaries were keeping an eye on the 19-year-old.

Benfica had a great display and beat Chaves 4-0, and João Félix had a fantastic performance, being responsible for a big impact in the result.

The youngster had a part in all of the Eagles’ four goals, having scored the second one and making a beautiful assist for the last one. Newspaper Record gave him a rating of five out of five.

Currently protected by a €120m release clause, João Félix is certainly going to be fought over by several clubs, including Manchester United, when the summer market comes. He has 10 goals and six assists in his first professional season for the Eagles.

Everton, Nice, Borussia Dortmund, Real Valladolid, Gent, Eintracht Frankfurt and Sevilla all joined the Red Devils in sending scouts for this match as well.
