Erling Haaland has 70 goals and 19 assists in 69 matches for Borussia Dortmund and his impressive statistics will make him one of the most sought-after players next summer, when his reported €75m release clause will come into effect.

Bild say Manchester United ‘want the BVB striker’. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s presence may not help the Red Devils to seal the star’s signing.

Mino Raiola acts as the 21-year-old’s advisor and when he speaks to the latter’s suitors, ‘ambition is more important than money’ for the agent. This is the case for the player’s family as well.

The super-agent already has a client, Paul Pogba, at Old Trafford. He ‘blames’ the former Cardiff City manager for the Frenchman’s fluctuating performances. Bild say Raiola ‘could play an important role in how long Solskjaer will keep his job’ at United.

While Raiola has an influence on where Haaland will end up next, United are ‘considering’ whether paying his release clause next summer would pay off ‘in light of two factors’.

The first one is Haaland’s injuries this season, that has seen him miss seven matches so far. He is currently on the sidelines due to a problem with a hip flexor and there are concerns this could impact his overall performances in the future.

Raiola is the second factor as Bild explain the ‘account balance could not be completely unimportant…’ for the Dortmund star’s suitors like United.
