Manchester United have plans to sign a new right-back this summer in order to provide competition and cover to Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils retain an interest in Kieran Trippier, but are unwilling to meet Atlético Madrid’s demands to sign him.

Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo has now emerged as a target for the Old Trafford club, as per La Stampa, relayed by Il Napolista.

The 27-year-old is currently with Italy, preparing for Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against England at Wembley.

During the course of the European championship, the defender has admitted he likes the Premier League, and this has caught the attention of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

According to the claims, Di Lorenzo has attracted the interest of United and they consider him ‘suitable’ for their league.

If Solskjaer and United want to snatch the player away from the Naples club, they will have to put a €20m offer on the table.

For now, there’s only interest from United and one needs to have patience to find out whether it will be converted into an offer.
