Manchester United have to overcome Real Sociedad to secure a berth in the last eight of the Europa League.
The first leg in Spain ended in a 1-1 draw and the return leg will take place at Old Trafford on Thursday. Real Sociedad star Martín Zubimendi missed last week’s tie due to an injury.
Marca state the midfielder is fit again to face Manchester United after struggling last week.
On Marca 2nd, the Spain international was forced off the pitch in his side’s 4-0 league loss to Barcelona.
Two days later, the Spanish media reported that tests results have shown the 26-year-old hasn’t suffered a serious blow. Despite this, he didn’t feature against the Red Devils as he was down with fever.
At the weekend, Zubimendi came off the bench in the 61st minute in La Real’s 1-0 defeat to Sevilla.
Marca claim his return was one of the pieces of good news that came from the loss and Zubimendi is expected to be a key player against Manchester United. They believe the midfielder will be like a ‘signing’ for Real Sociedad for the crucial Europa League tie at Old Trafford.
Over at Mundo Deportivo, they state Luka Sučić and Jon Aramburu didn’t take part during Monday’s training. Sučić has a knee problem and Aramburu suffered a blow to his foot.
Meanwhile, Álvaro Odriozola and Arsen Zakharyan overcome physical concerns and took part in training. Mundo indicate the duo could be involved against Ruben Amorim’s side.
