Man United can sign Mourinho target ‘in 24 hours’ once bid accepted, terms agreed already

Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport provide quotes from Mauro Icardi, Inter’s captain, who spoke about his teammate’s situation, basically giving him the green light to move if he wasn’t happy at San Siro and wanted to try a new adventure, but that’s not what caught our eye.

In the grand scheme of things, the situation remains very much the same, meaning the Red Devils still haven’t made an offer matching Inter’s valuation of the Croatia international.

That remains around €55m, with Ed Woodward only offering around €45m for now.

However, it seems that everything is else is pretty much done, as Gazzetta explain that as soon as Manchester United do get an offer accepted, ‘everything will end’ in 24 hours as the player has already agreed a €5m/year deal with the Premie League side.

Wages in Italy are usually quoted after-tax, hence the relatively low figure. 

Much like yesterday, all there is to do now is wait and see if José Mourinho gets his man, which would preferably need to happy before next Tuesday when Inter fly to China to continue their preseason tour.
