For around a week, Tuttosport have been publishing a list of all the players they’re linking to Juventus and giving each one a percentage to signify how close and likely the transfer is.
For all of that time Matteo Darmian has been put at 90%, with it being reported for months in Italy that a Juventus move is closing in for the Manchester United player.
In Friday’s edition of Tuttosport, that figure has gone up to 95%, showing that Tuttosport feel the transfer is creeping closer towards the finish line.
Juventus CEP Giuseppe Marotta on Thursday saying that he couldn’t deny Darmian is of interest has probably helped, and now Tuttosport go with an angle about the club looking to recruit Italians to their squad, with Geona goalkeeper Mattia Perin joining Darmian in that regard.
Perin is put at 90% by the newspaper.
Of all the players linked to Juventus, only one man had a higher percentage than Darmian, and that’s soon-to-be free agent Emre Can.
The Liverpool midfielder is expected to be announced as a Juventus player next week.
