Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian continues to be one of the players with most mentions in the Italian media, as a couple of Serie A clubs are expected to battle for him in the summer.

Even though Juventus are frequently mentioned as the main contender, there’s always some comepetition being reported, which is the case of Napoli today.

As reported by RAI Sport (via Calcio Mercato), Napoli know that the Old Lady have Darmian ‘in their hands’ for the summer market, but can still try to hijack the deal before things are completely done.

It’s Napoli’s sports director Cristiano Giuntoli who has the Manchester United player in his plans, and should be making at least one attempt before the summer market.

Matteo Darmian has 12 appearances for Manchester United this season, only four of them in the Premier League.

It would be no surprise to see him going back to Italy this summer, although the price that the Red Devils are demanding is still not known.
