Calciomercato have taken a Christmas look at potential Juventus transfers in the upcoming window.

Several players could be ‘under the Christmas tree’ for the Turin club in January, and it’s no surprise to see Matteo Darmian among them.

The former Torino player has been linked with a host of Italian clubs for over a year, and over the past week it’s been AS Roma pushed forward more than others.

Calciomercato suggest Juventus are seriously interested and Darmian is the club’s ‘first choice’ for the right back position.

One thing holding them back from jumping into talks with Manchester United is Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The 33 year old sees his Juventus contract expire at the end of June, and Calciomercato state if the Swiss defender could be persuaded to leave early, in January, then it gives room to go out and get Darmian.

Of course, even if the Juventus veteran can be persuaded to leave, the club would then have to also persuade Jose Mourinho and Manchester United, which may be the harder task.
