With Chelsea and Manchester United both scouting João Félix this week, Benfica were quick on reviewing the plans they have for the future of the 19-year-old.

Newspaper Record brings a big story today saying the youngster is currently ‘non negotiable’, as the club wish to keep him until 2020.

Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira reportedly told agent Jorge Mendes he doesn’t even want to listen to offers for Félix, so any club who want him will have to pay the €120m release clause.

The intention is to decline all the bids for him in the next two transfer windows, and only sell him in the summer of 2020, when he could become the ‘biggest sale of Portuguese football’.

Record takes some data to show that Felix is among the ‘most productive players in Europe’ if considering how many minutes he takes to make an assist or score a goal.

He’s only behind Paco Alcácer, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, Edinson Cavani and Neymar.

Manchester United interest is referenced once again, and the Old Trafford club will know all about the youngster, seeing as they scout every Benfica match.
