Since Alex Telles only managed to make 24 appearances for Manchester United this season, his exit from Old Trafford became a transfer rumour a lot sooner than anyone could expect.
It’s been said by the English and the Portuguese media that due to the lack of playing time for the Red Devils, the left-back could soon be back at Porto, where he was very successful in the previous seasons.
Now, as newspaper A Bola gets into the situation today, they claim that the 28-year-old is actually going nowhere.
It’s said that last week, Manchester United told Telles they count on him for the next season, and that made him ‘calmer and more motivated’ to fight for a place in the team.
A Bola says that only in a last case, Manchester United would then accept his exit and sell the player this summer.
They wouldn’t be interested in loaning him out, so if he goes, that would be via a permanent deal, but that would be a scenario where the club would change their opinion from just a few days ago, so ‘this possibility will not materialise’, in the newspaper’s opinion.
Furthermore, the player isn’t interested in the move either.
A source close to him told A Bola he wants to stay at Old Trafford, with the outlet concluding that his transfer is a ‘very difficult dream’ for the Dragons.
