Paris Saint Germain manager Thomas Tuchel could become a ‘hot’ topic at Manchester United in the near future.

That’s according to SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who states that the German boss can imagine himself managing in the Premier League.

Tuchel has found himself under increasing pressure at PSG in recent months, with the French giants failing to live up to expectations under his leadership.

Similar can be said of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United are currently 9th in the table and five points from the top, but do have a game in hand.

They are also facing a nervy final game against RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stages to ensure a place in the knockout stages.

Should they fail to make it through, the drama around Old Trafford will rise and Falk believes Tuchel would be on their shortlist given their previous interest.

“According to our information he can really imagine taking the step to the Premier League,” he told SportBILD.

“It is no secret that his chapter at Paris Saint Germain will probably be finished at the end of the season.

“There are no talks, and we know that already in the past there was contact with Tuchel and Manchester United.

“It is a club that would fit to him and surely when the time comes for managers to be shortlisted he should be there.

“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer only has a contract until 2022 and United are far away from the Champions League places in the Premier League.

“There is the threat from Leipzig in the Champions League group stages, so the topic of Tuchel at United could quickly become hot.”

Falk may be exaggerating Manchester United’s position a little, given they’re actually two points away from a Champions League place and have a game in hand on every team above them.
