After Saturday’s big 4-1 win against Leicester, Jose Mourinho has decided to give some time off to Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gazzetta say Ibrahimovic used him time off to visit Milan, a city he knows very well, as he wanted a change of air and a break from Manchester.

The Manchester United star was seen at Finger’s Garden, a restaurant in Milan, with chef Roberto Okabe and his former teammate Clarence Seedorf.

Mourinho has been extra cautious with the 34-year-old, and had also previously given him extra days off. The Portuguese manager wants to balance his star’s workload, and keep him as ready, and as happy, as can be.

Manchester United host Ukrainian side Zorya in the Europa League on Thursday night, and it remains to be seen if Mourinho would want to rest Ibrahimovic for the match.

The Red Devils face Stoke City on Sunday in the Premier League, in a game the Swedish star is expected to start.
