The Chilean national team are confident Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez will be fit to play the Copa America in Brazil later this year.

The 30-year-old, who’s been sidelined since the start of the month with a knee injury, should be soon able to train again, according to La Roja’s doctor.

Fernando Radice spoke to Radio Agricultura on Tuesday, and explained a little more about Sanchez’s situation.

“He was treated with blood platelets to speed up the process,” Radice told Radio Agricultura. “He shouldn’t have any problem for the sports reintegration in a couple of weeks and be one hundred percent for the Copa America.”

Alexis Sanchez had already stayed out of action for a month due to a hamstring injury in December. The player has only 23 appearances this season, with two goals and four assists.

In case he takes two more weeks to recover, a chance to play for Manchester United again this season should totally depend on how quickly will he be able to get fully fit.

Maybe he could still make it to the squad for one of the games against Barcelona in the Champions League’s quarter finals.
