Juventus are not ‘completely indifferent’ to the ‘love letters’ being sent by Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba regarding a potential return to the club in the summer.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Frenchman is very much on the list of options being looked at by the Italian giants.
They’re keen to add another midfielder to their squad this summer after the capture of Denis Zakaria in January but want someone who is more forward-thinking and can form a partnership with Dusan Vlahovic.
Pogba fits the bill and would be available on a free given his contract with Manchester United expires in the summer, and there’s no sign of him renewing.
He has a strong bond with Juventus following his spell there before returning to Old Trafford and has publicly spoken of his love for the club on more than one occasion.
Those in charge at Juventus would not go beyond the €7m a year plus bonuses they’ve just given Vlahovic, although an ‘exception’ might be made for Pogba given their relationship.
That is more likely to happen if they were to part ways with Paulo Dybala, who, like the Manchester United man, is out of contract in the summer.
At the moment, the club would prefer to spend money on a player with lower wages than spending big on the latter, but Pogba on a free is an ‘opportunity not to be discarded at first sight’.
That’s because they believe the Frenchman would be a ‘guarantee’ on multiple fronts, with his first spell at the club remaining strong in their memory.
