Adrien Rabiot was growing in prominence at Juventus during the second half of the season, having arrived at the Turin club on a free transfer from PSG last summer.

The French club had been furious with Rabiot for not renewing and then leaving as a free agent, and ostracised him, before signing Ander Herrera from Manchester United, also on a free.

Le Parisien this weekend reported the Herrera deal hasn’t really worked out as hoped for, and PSG are looking to recruit again. Meanwhile, in Italy it’s reported Rabiot could be leaving Juventus, and Manchester United is presented as a possible destination.

Juve have signed several free agents in recent years, and part of the plan has been to sell on for a profit when possible, and that could be the situation with Rabiot.

Calciomercato report Manchester United are ‘serious’ about the signing, and that the player’s agent has been ‘at work’ and in constant contact with Premier League clubs, the other named side being Everton.

According to Calciomercato, United have been watching Rabiot for some time, and could sign him either as a standalone deal, or as part of a move which would see Paul Pogba return to Juventus.
