Fanatik claim Manchester United, Liverpool and Sevilla scouts will watch Trabzonspor’s young goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir in action when his side face Krasnodar in the Europa League tonight.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 23 year old in recent months but it’s now claimed Manchester United and Sevilla have joined the race for the Turkey international.
Throughout this season there have been reports Liverpool have been sending scouts to Turkey to watch Cakir, and Fanatik say Manchester United now have the young keeper on their radar.
According to the claims, Trabzonspor’s board have high hopes for Ugurcan Cakir and the Super Lig club’s president Ahmet Agaoglu is not willing to listen to offers below €20m.
The player has previously stated that he would like to play in a more high profile league at some stage of his career, but he also wants to win the league title with his hometown club first.
Cakir recently signed a new contract with Trabzonspor which will run until June 2025.
Manchester United interest doesn’t make a great deal of sense, and the same can be said for their links with Ajax’s Andre Onana this week.
