It’s been a few years since Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic started being linked to Premier League clubs, although no one was able to take him from the Serie A side so far.
The rumours returned last month, with Manchester United again mentioned, as the Red Devils reportedly became aware the player has an agreement to leave the Italian club next summer.
Now as Milinkovic-Savic spoke to the Serbian media and commented on his contract situation with Lazio, Calcio Mercato covers the quotes and points out what could be of his future.
They first claim that despite Juventus’ interest, the Old Lady can’t afford this transfer, as he’s currently valued at €70m and is ‘out of reach’ for the Bianconeri club and their finances.
The outlet then says the moves from Manchester United ‘will be observed with great attention’, since the Red Devils are the club who ‘have given the most concrete signals towards his entourage’.
Calcio Mercato once again say there’s an ‘informal pact’ at Lazio for Milinkovic-Savic to be sold in June in case an ‘important proposal’ is made. It’s said it’d take an offer for a ‘top player’ to take him away from the club.
Besides Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain are said to be interested in his signing as well. The midfielder, meanwhile, claims the rumours ‘enter in one ear and go out the other’.
