The striker’s good performance is highlighted by newspaper A Bola, who claims Manchester United and other clubs had scouts at that game.
It’s said the Red Devils were joined by the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Milan, and their presence were ‘certainly directed’ to Darwin’s appearance.
His performance was ‘certainly worth a lot of notes’ for those clubs, with the striker now having the best season in his career.
The Uruguayan now has 21 goals and two assists in 26 appearances this season, and that’s why Benfica believe they’ll be able to make one of their biggest sales ever.
Even though Darwin has been linked to other Premier League sides before, Manchester United’s presence in those games now makes them a serious candidate for the signing, at least for the Portuguese media.
