Manchester United are now being repeatedly linked with a move for AC Milan’s Franck Kessie.

The midfielder has been the subject of endless stories in recent weeks, with PSG and Tottenham Hotspur the two clubs who have been linked the most.

Liverpool have also had a few mentions, and last week saw Manchester United further dragged in more than they have been previously.

Kessie’s contract with Milan expires at the end of the current season, and after there’d been optimism he’d sign a new contract, there’s now growing worry that won’t be the case.

Such a situation presents the fear of a free transfer, and invites transfer vultures to circle.

Whether relating to a cut-price move in January or a free agent deal next summer, Manchester United are said to be interested.

Calciomercato say the Red Devils are ‘serious’ about Kessie, although they believe he could be an option to replace Paul Pogba should the Frenchman depart Old Trafford.

That’s probably not what the Premier League club would be looking at, with Kessie and Pogba not exactly being copies of one another.
