Marca have a big claim on Wednesday morning, something which hasn’t made it to their newspaper today so is obviously breaking news for them.
It’s stated Manchester United have contacted Real Madrid with the intention of trying to build a deal to sign Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian midfielder made his wishes to leave Madrid clear earlier this summer, in an interview with the same Spanish newspaper… that may give a hint as to where the information is from.
Marca say Jose Mourinho’s club have knocked on the door of Real Madrid and presented an offer of €60m for the player.
Unfortunately, it’s stated Kovacic isn’t keen on moving to the Premier League side. He does want to leave for more minutes but the style on offer under Jose Mourinho is said to have put him off the potential transfer.
Manchester United have enlisted the help of intermediary Vlado Lemic, but if they don’t have the player’s will it’s not much use.
Kovacic is said to retain his desire to leave will inform Real Madrid again this week.
