At the end of last month, we covered claims made in Italy that Manchester United are at the window for Franck Kessié.
His contract with AC Milan will expire at the end of the current season and he isn’t close to signing a new deal with the Serie A side.
Two days ago, Sky Italia stated the midfielder’s renewal is ‘increasingly difficult’ because the Rossoneri have offered between €6m and €6.5m per season, while his entourage are asking for close to €9m.
It’s even claimed Real Madrid and Barcelona ‘yearn’ to take the player no cost, but the La Liga giants will not have it easy to secure his services.
‘The reason is more than evident’ and it’s because of clubs like Manchester United, who pose as a ‘rival’ to the two Spanish clubs. As per the report, the Red Devils ‘remain in the race for Franck Kessié’, with the midfielder ‘delighting’ them, and likely all the more so because of the bargain nature of a potential deal.
With several clubs in the picture to sign Kessié, Milan are aware they will have to ‘make a great effort’ to retain him.
