After signing Fulham’s Jean Michael Seri on loan for next season, Galatasaray are in the market for another midfielder and are still reportedly interested in signing Manchester United’s Fred.

We covered initial claims from Turkey regarding Galatasaray’s interest in the Brazilian and Gunes say their manager Faith Terim has now made the 25 year old his priority.

The Super Lig side lost both Fernando and Badou Ndiaye this month and are keen to add more players ahead of their Champions League campaign.

Gunes claim Manchester United have rejected the first loan offer from Gala but the Turkish champions are looking to make another attempt to land him.

Galatasaray are hoping to convince Fred with the incentive of Champions League football, although at this stage Manchester United aren’t looking to let him go.

Fred didn’t enjoy the best of debut seasons in England, with fitness and selection issues.

He made 25 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions last season and is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2023.
