Philippe Coutinho has no future at Barcelona, if various reports coming out of the Catalan media are to be believed. Luckily for the La Liga winners, the 27-year-old has admirers in England.

Two days ago, we relayed news from Spain that Manchester United have ‘managed to convince’ the midfielder to join them in the next transfer window.

Wednesday’s edition of Sport has an update on the Brazil international’s future and the Red Devils get a mention.

The Catalan club and Coutinho’s agent have knocked on many doors of English clubs to find a transfer solution for the South American.

It’s claimed that several Premier League clubs are ‘ready to welcome’ the player on loan and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are one among them.

Barcelona have made Coutinho available in the market and his agents, who have strong ties in England, have started probing the market there for their client.

They need at least €90m for Coutinho to avoid making any losses and with no club ready to meet their demand, Barca would allow him to leave on loan with a mandatory purchase option of just over €65m.

With Coutinho’s representatives working hard in the background to find a new club for the player, Sport’s report doesn’t provide any concrete suggestion the Brazilian’s next destination would be United.
