Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has identified Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech as a ‘priority’ target this summer.

That’s according to France Football reporter Nabil Djellit, who took to Twitter to make this claim.

The attacking midfielder excelled under the orders of the current Manchester United coach at Ajax and that convinced Chelsea to invest in his services in 2020.

Djellit explains the Red Devils are now listening more to Ten Hag about the 29-year-old.

The journalist further adds the Manchester United board are ‘ready to move forward’ to sign the former Ajax man, if Chelsea are not ‘too greedy’ with their demands.

Earlier reports from Italy discussed AC Milan interest in the player, but the option to join the Serie A winners likely closed for him when they signed Charles De Ketelaere.

Thomas Tuchel has left the Morocco international on the bench for the league ties against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. It needs to be seen whether Chelsea will let Ziyech move to Old Trafford before the window closes.
