Marca have a big look at the Andreas Pereira situation in their Wednesday edition, and the Spanish newspaper explain there’s two distinct aspects to the story.
Valencia want to loan Pereira for a year, given his success at Granada last season, but Jose Mourinho is very much against a transfer.
Sport Witness reported at the beginning of the week that Valencia interest is real, but Mourinho isn’t keen on letting the player go, and that’s something which has since been reported several times in the English and Spanish media.
The Spanish newspaper also state there’s some kind of kind of outline agreement between Valencia and Manchester United for a loan, so if Mourinho were to give his approval a transfer is possible.
That agreement is completely useless unless Mourinho changes his mind, and the manager’s decision is key. Marca suggest it’s strange Mourinho is so keen to keep Pereira, given that he’s not using the player.
It’s worth pointing out there’s not exactly a desperation in the Valencia media for this transfer to happen, with it being felt there are other areas of importance for the Spanish club, and the suggestion this seems to be a Peter Lim (vanity?) thing.
