Manchester United ‘pushing the most’ for signing – Premier League ‘awaits’ player

On September 8th, we relayed news from Spain that Manchester United are the ‘best placed’ team to sign Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilón.

The left-back will not be included in Zinedine Zidane’s squad for the upcoming season and needs to find a new club this summer.

AS once again reiterates the 23-year-old’s immediate future will be away from the Santiago Bernabéu, and details the reasons.

The La Liga winners’ idea is to sell the defender in the ongoing window and include a buyback clause.

It’s claimed the Premier League ‘awaits’ the newly capped Spain international, and the Red Devils’ interest get a mention. As per the report, United are the club who are ‘pushing the most’ for the fullback.

Reguilón was on loan at Sevilla last season and registered an assist in the Spanish side’s 2-1 victory over the Old Trafford club in the Europa League semi-final. Julen Lopetegui’s side went on to win the competition after defeating Inter Milan in the final.

Luke Shaw is the only recognised left-back at the club and in his absence, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fielded Brandon Williams in that position last term.

AS state the Norwegian made note of the Real Madrid player, more so after his fine display against United last month.

Reguilón picked up an injury on his debut with Spain, but the latest setback has not cooled interest from the English club.
