Forever linked to Manchester United, Adrien Rabiot is again living in an unpredictable situation at Juventus.
La Stampa, relayed by Calcio Mercato, today has a story claiming the midfielder’s contract renewal with Juventus is on ‘stand-by’, as there are many doubts about him signing a new deal.
The Bianconeri are said to be unsure about making a big effort to keep Rabiot, who makes €7m net a year there. The club want to see about the future of Massimiliano Allegri, as well as their spot in the Champions League next season, before deciding whether to give the player an extension.
Meanwhile, the midfielder is said to be drawing interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United. It’s said the Red Devils are ‘pressing’ and moving ‘strongly’ to get him to Old Trafford this summer.
This is surely not a surprise in the rumour mill, as most times Rabiot gets in a delicate renewal situation, which isn’t rare, the Old Trafford side are linked to him.
Something similar happened last summer, when he ended up agreeing to a one-year extension with Juventus. Now there’s only two months left until the end of his contract there, and we shall soon see if the Manchester United rumours will suddenly disappear once he gets what he wants.
