Ruben Amorim decided Marcus Rashford was out of his plans just weeks after joining Manchester United. The Red Devils let the forward spend the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old is contracted to return to Manchester United but, unless things change, he has no future under Amorim. He’s keen on moving to Barcelona this summer and his agent met their sporting director, Deco, last month.
On June 2nd, Sport stated Manchester United want €40m to sell their player.
Marca report Rashford remains determined to join Barcelona, and has made this clear to them. The England international is currently on vacation in Marbella and has been sending repeat messages to those close to him regarding his Barcelona desire.
Athletic star Nico Williams has overtaken Liverpool’s Luis Díaz as the Catalan club’s main target for attack.
Rashford knows this and has informed Barca he’ll make sacrifices to secure a move. Marca say he’s confident that his willingness to join them, cost of the operation [cheaper compared to Williams and Díaz] and his qualities can help him seal the transfer.
Williams will cost around €62m while the Reds are asking €80m for Díaz.
