Manchester United are about to announce the contract extension of Diogo Dalot, according to reports from Portugal.
Outlet A Bola writes that the Red Devils are set to make the new deal official in the ‘next few hours’.
Dalot’s contract with the Manchester United was supposed to finish this summer, and back in December, the club triggered an option to extend it until 2024.
Now A Bola says the fullback will sign a ‘long-term’ deal. It’s written that the details are agreed, and the signing is ‘imminent’.
Manchester United signed Dalot on a €22m deal from Porto in 2018. He was even loaned to AC Milan in the 2020/21 season, but managed to make a surprising comeback to Old Trafford.
The fullback made 42 appearances for the Red Devils this season, and is in a constant battle with Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a place on the right side of defence.
He now has a total of 107 matches played for the Red Devils, and by getting Erik ten Hag’s trust, it seems he should get ready for much more in the coming seasons.
