Since joining Valencia on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United last summer, Andreas Pereira has always made sure to show his commitment for his new club.

The midfielder has answered questions about a return to England by repeatedly stating his desire to succeed at Valencia, and claims to be focused on doing well for the Spanish side first.

Now that there are just a couple of months for his loan to come to an end, it seems Pereira has tried to show the ultimate sign of love for Valencia.

Even though local journalists had a lot to cover from the club’s training session on Friday, the headlines had to be about Andreas Pereira’s new haircut.

Valencia even tried to make some mystery at first, but those following the training session quickly saw it was the Manchester United owned player’s head.

Local outlet El Desmarque actually wrote a very nice story, saying “It’s the symbol of Batman, but it is a clear tribute to one of the symbols of Valencia CF and the city.”

They also say that “the Brazilian player wears a bat on his head, as a sign of commitment and identification with one of the symbols of Valencia CF”, and “he’s happy at Mestalla as evidenced by the gesture of his new hairstyle.”

If it means something about a prolonged stay at Valencia, the local media knows nothing even thought they’re insinuating it could be a signal. Andreas hasn’t really been able to impress during his spell, so the club aren’t very likely to make big efforts to keep him in the summer.

Maybe he believes the haircut would help.
