It seems Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri has finally found a club to play for the rest of the season.
According to Uruguayan journalist Alen Banewur Rubin, the winger is on his way to La Liga side Alavés on a six-month loan.
It’s claimed that the 19-year-old will travel to Spain ‘on Sunday or Monday’ to start working with his new club.
The report adds that Manchester United want Pellistri to ‘show himself and get minutes’ so he can be prepared to join their first team squad for the 2021/22 season.
Facundo Pellistri’s temporary exit had already been confirmed by Manchester United, with multiple clubs coming forward for the player. Following his €8.5 move from Peñarol in the summer window, the winger hasn’t had minutes for the first team, so a move was needed to continue his development.
Featuring for the U23 squad, Pellistri managed to get three goals and one assist in eight appearances, but despite his young age, it seems Manchester United want him to get some real first team football to help him prepare for bigger challenges next season.
